Open Schooling offers a second chance to learners who are unable to complete their education through the conventional system. It promotes inclusive, self-paced learning from the comfort of home or community centers, supported by modern learning tools. Recognized under the equivalency framework, the certifications earned through open schooling are treated as equal to those from formal schools.

Board of Open Schooling & Skill Education (BOSSE)
- Established By: The Government of Sikkim under Act No. 14/LD of 2020
- Programs Offered:
- Secondary Level (K10): For learners aged 15 and above, even without prior formal education.
- Senior Secondary Level (K12): For learners who have completed Class 10 or equivalent.
- Medium of Instruction: English & Hindi
- Eligibility: A school leaving certificate of any class is required.
- Admission Cycles: Two sessions annually – April and October
Jamia Urdu Aligarh
- Established: 1939, recognized by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI)
- Mission: To promote Urdu language and empower marginalized communities and women through education.
- Programs Offered:
- Adeeb (K10): Equivalent to Secondary Level, for learners aged 15+ without prior formal education.
- Adeeb-e-Mahir (K12): Equivalent to Senior Secondary Level, for those who have completed Class 10 or equivalent.
- Eligibility: School leaving certificate of any class.
- Admission Cycles: Two sessions annually – February and July
