University credit transfer allows students to carry forward previously earned academic credits when shifting from one institution to another. This ensures that their prior efforts are recognized, reducing the need to repeat courses and helping them save time, effort, and money.
How It Works
Academic credit transfer—also called credit recognition—is based on the alignment of learning outcomes and course equivalency. It enables students to progress smoothly toward a degree without losing valid coursework already completed at a recognized institution.
Required Documents
- All semester mark sheets
- Transcript and syllabus/course descriptions
- Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Proof of UGC recognition of previous university
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for credit transfer, the following conditions must be met:
- The student must have completed a minimum of 50% of the course at the previous university.
- All mark lists of the completed semesters must be submitted.
- The previous institution must be UGC-recognized.
- A Transfer Certificate (TC) from the former university is required.
- Students who failed or discontinued are also eligible, provided their institution and coursework are valid.
